When should I visit Norman Pediatric After Hours?
If your child is a patient of Norman Pediatric Associates, has an issue or illness that is not life-threatening, and it’s between the hours of 5 to 7 p.m. on weeknights or 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday, then we are here for you! If your child has a broken bone or a life-threatening issue, please visit the ER or call 911.
What are your hours of operation?
Our after hours clinic is open 5 to 7 p.m. on weeknights and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Our regular practice business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Do I need to make an appointment?
You do not need to make an appointment for our pediatric after hours clinic. We see patients on a first come, first served basis.
How long can I expect to wait before my child is seen?
Wait times vary depending upon the number of patients ahead of you and the nature of their issues. However, the typical visit could be 30 minutes or less.
Do you perform vaccinations and well-child checks in the after hours clinic?
No. Well-child checks and vaccinations must be performed during a regularly scheduled visit with your pediatrician.
What if my child needs to be admitted to the hospital?
If your child requires hospitalization, our pediatrician in the after hours clinic will arrange continued care to the hospital.
Is Norman Pediatric After Hours Clinic an urgent care?
No, although we provide similar services, we do not have x-ray or complex lab services in our building. We always have a pediatrician on site. Also, for most health plans the copay is the same as it is for your primary care provider.
Can I get medical advice over the phone?
No, we have triage services for Norman Pediatric Associates’ patients through OU Children’s Hospital Triage.

Are you open on major holidays?
No, we are closed on New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
